Thiruvananthapuram: Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro, who passed away in Havana, was a revolutionary who worked for the liberation of Cuba and the betterment of the humanity, CPI state Secretary Kanam Rajendran said Saturday.
He played an important role in uniting the third world countries against the US imperialism, Kanam said.
Castro had worked closely with India under the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and fought for the liberation of the Latin American countries, he added.
