Car registration fraud: One more case registered against Fahadh
Kochi: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) has filed another case against actor Fahadh Faasil in connection with registering his vehicle in Puducherry using fake documents. According to the MVD, he has registered another luxury vehicle in Puducherry forging documents.
Mathrubhumi News had earlier reported that Fahadh registered a car worth around Rs 1.5 crore under fake address in the Union Territory, causing loss to the state exchequer by way of tax.
When the MVD sought the details of this, Fahadh replied that he is not using the vehicle in the state. However, further investigation revealed that the vehicle is being used in Ernakulam.
Alappuzha RTO Shibu K Itty recommended the Crime Branch to register a case against the actor and also directed him to remit the tax.
Earlier, Fahadh paid Rs 19 lakh towards tax for a vehicle which was similarly registered in Puducherry. A Crime Brach probe is already on into alleged forging of documents by the actor. In connection with this case, the actor had moved Alappuzha Sessions Court for anticipatory bail. The court will pass judgement on his petition today.
