Capablanca Chess School to host South India's largest Chess event

Thiruvananthapuram: Capablanca Chess School will host the Capablanca Chess School (CCS) Chess Festival 2023 from March 30 to April 6 at the Jimmy George Indoor Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The event is being held in celebration of the school's 7th anniversary and is a highly competitive FIDE rated tournament with cash prizes worth 25 lakhs and awards for the top performers.

Soorya Krishnamoorthy, Founder-Director of the Soorya Stage and Film Society will be the chief guest of the programme. In addition to the exciting tournaments, Capablanca Chess School has announced the launch of the Capablanca Chess Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to providing fellowships for deserving chess players.

"We are thrilled to announce the CCS Chess Festival 2023, as it gives us an opportunity to showcase the talent and skill of our students and other players from India and around the world," said Vijin Babu S, Founder and CEO, Capablanca Chess School.
