Cannot provide protection to activists, says police
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala police have made it clear that they cannot provide protection to the activists who arrive to visit Sabarimala. The women with criminal background will not be allowed to trek Sabarimala. The police officers have also submitted a report to the DGP that many women arrive at Sannidhanam to gain publicity.
It is not practical to allow women who belong to the menstrual age group to visit the temple during heavy rush hours. The situation will be worse, if young women arrive in the coming days. The officials also requested for permission to send back those women who come for publicity.
The report also made it clear that Bindu who came to trek Sabarimala on Monday has criminal background and she has been named accused in many cases. It has been requested in the report that police should be allowed to send back such persons.
