Can’t believe he is no more, says Pinarayi Vijayan on Kodiyeri’s demise

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his shock over the demise of former CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. In his Facebook post, the CM penned that he can’t believe Kodiyeri is no more.

He added that Kodiyeri was like a brother to him.

“ I can’t believe that he is no more. The news creates deep grief. We are like brothers and walked together through the same path,” penned the CM on his Facebook page.

“The demise of my dear comrade and friend Kodiyeri Balakrishnan leaves me devastated. He was an astute leader who dedicated his entire life to build the communist movement and uplift the downtrodden. He will continue to inspire us in our struggles. Red Salute, Comrade,” tweeted CM.

In his long Facebook post, he recollected his memories of Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and opened up about sharing a prison with him during the emergency period.
