Joy Alukkas
Thrissur: Joy Alukkas is now a proud owner of a luxury helicopter with most-modern security features. This model of helicopter is most commonly used and preferred by industrialists and businessmen for private journeys.
The Italian-made Leonardo AW109 GrandNew twin-engine helicopter worth Rs 90 crore was brought to Thrissur by Joy Alukkas. Joy Alukkas, the Managing Director of Joy Alukkas India Private Limited, said that the helicopter meets the high standard security criteria.
The chopper can carry two pilots and up to 7 passengers. The maximum speed is 289 km/hr. The chopper can fly for up to 4 hours without landing. Pratt & Whitney 207C engines make less sound when compared to older models.
