Alappuzha: KSRTC driver who was undergoing treatment for post-Covid difficulties fell unconscious while driving. Neyyattinkara Depot driver and Kottayam native N G Biju (44) fainted near the Karuvatta powerhouse on the National Highway.
The incident happened on Wednesday evening. He fainted while driving the superfast bus from Palakkad to Parassala. Biju was taken to a nearby hospital in a bus that came in the same route. Biju was suffering from frequent headaches even after recovering from Covid.
He was undergoing treatment at a private medical college in Ernakulam. He was supposed to go for a check-up at the beginning of this month. Biju said that he couldn't go as he hadn't received the salary. He was continuing his job in the hope that he would get the salary soon.
Biju said that he stopped the bus along roadside when he felt uneasiness and that he doesn’t remember anything after that. Haripad Depot Driver G Pradeep took Biju to the hospital. Biju’s relatives came and took him home by Wednesday evening.
