Broad daylight spotting of tiger near police quarters in Pathanamthitta keeps cops on toes

Pathanamthitta: The broad daylight spotting of tiger near police quarters adjacent to officials’ camp in Maniyar here have kept cops and their families on toes. The tiger was spotted around 2 pm on Friday, said an official. By the time more cops hit the spot, tiger went back to nearby forest, say reports.

Last month too, a tiger was spotted in the proximity of quarters. The tiger was spotted near parade ground during dawn. While, the new spotting comes at a time when media reports on wild animal attacks in the state are in limelight.

All this have left families in the quarters in panic. However, from the first spotting, they all are in vigil. The security measures at the camp were beefed up.

Not just in Maniyar, tigers were also spotted at parts of Seethathode-Chittar stretch.
