Bribery case: ED takes measurement of KM Shaji MLA's house in Kozhikode
Kozhikode: KM Shaji MLA’ s house was measured as per instruction from the Enforcement Directorate. The measurements were taken by Kozhikode corporation officials.
The action was taken on the basis of a complaint that Shaji took a bribe of Rs 25 lakhs for approving Plus Two at Azhikode school in Kannur.
The officials left the house after taking the measurements by noon. It is reported that the family was not informed about the action in any way. KM Shaji was not present when the incident happened.
Meanwhile, ED will take statements from the school management in connection with the bribery case. The representatives of the management will be summoned to the ED office in Kozhikode. Muslim League state general secretary KPA Majeed and the party's Kannur district secretary were interrogated by ED at their office the other day.
KPA Majeed was interrogated for more than five hours. KM Shaji has been instructed to appear before the ED in connection with the case on November 10.
