Breach of Privilege notice filed against Ramesh Chennithala for insulting Assembly

The Opposition leader claimed that the Speaker was playing politics and acting as the Chief Minister’s puppet.

Thiruvananthapuram: A breach of privilege notice has been filed against Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala for insulting the Legislative Assembly. The notice was sent to the Speaker by IB Satheesh MLA.

The notice was sent over the remarks made by Ramesh Chennithala against the Speaker while responding to the media in connection with a Vigilance investigation against the UDF leaders. The Opposition leader claimed that the Speaker was playing politics and acting as the Chief Minister’s puppet.

These remarks are intended to insult the Speaker and disrespect the Assembly. It is in the context that IB Satheesh MLA sent a notice to the Speaker urging him to take action against Ramesh Chennithala for breach of privilege.
