Brahmapuram fire: Kerala High Court initiates suo motu case

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Monday initiated a suo motu case regarding the issues related to the Brahmapuram fire.

It is learnt that the court will hear the matter on Tuesday.

Earlier, High Court Judge Devan Ramachandran in a letter had urged the Kerala Chief Justice to intervene in the issues related to the fire.

Similarly, the State Human Rights Commission directed the state Chief Secretary, Ernakulam District Collector and others to submit a report on the action taken to permanently solve the smoke issues from the fire at the plant.
