Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan will give a special statement on the Brahmapuram fire on Wednesday. The statement will be issued as per rule number 300 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.

According to rule number 300, a statement may be made by a Minister on a matter of public importance with the consent of the Speaker, but no questions shall be asked at the time the statement is made.

Notably, opposition and critics have been accusing the chief minister of distancing away from addressing the Brahmapuram issue.
