Bomb hurled at Azheekodan Memorial Library in Thalassery; Congress office in Niranam too vandalized


As per the information received by police, two people arrived on a bike hurled bombs at the library.

Thalassery: Soon after Congress offices were attacked following the Venjaramoodu twin murder incident, bombs were hurled at a library run by CPM in Thalassery. Azheekodan Memorial Library in Chonad was attacked on Tuesday night.

As per information received by police, two people arrived on a bike and hurled bombs at the library. A detailed investigation in this regard has begun. The CCTV visuals in the area are being checked.

Over 20 Congress offices in Kannur district were attacked in the previous days. The police is probing if the attack on the library was as an act of vengeance to this.

Apart from the attack in Kannur, various incidents of violence were reported in Thiruvalla Niranam panchayat also. Congress constituency office was vandalized. The flag poles of both parties were widely destroyed in different places.
