Body of child, who fell into sea while taking selfie with family, recovered
Alappuzha: Body of the child, who fell into the deep sea while posing for a selfie with family, was recovered here on Tuesday. The deceased Aadhi Krishna, was the son of Palakkad natives Lakshmanan and Anitha.
The accident took place around 2.30 pm on Sunday at Alappuzha beach near ESI hospital.
It is learned that the child was washed away in the turbulent waves while taking a selfie with his mother and other family members.
The body of the child was recovered at around 6.30 am on Tuesday following two days-long search operations.
Anitha along with her two children and nephew reached Alappuzha after attending a wedding at Thrissur. They occupied at a rented house of relative Binu in Alappuzha Indira junction for the last two days.
As they planned to return on Sunday, they visited the beach along with their host Binu.
The accident took place when Anitha and the children were taking selfie on the beach.
Binu who returned to the beach after parking the car found Anitha and children trapped in the turbulent waves.
Binu managed to save Anitha and Aadhi Krishna’s brother and Anitha’s nephew.
Unfortunately, Aadhi Krishna was washed away in the waves.
Police had restricted the entry of visitors to the beach as the sea was too rough for many days due to bad weather. Hence, the family reached the beach through the west side of ESI hospital.
