Thiruvananthapuram: A 11-year-old boy was found dead with his throat slit inside a house in Navayikkulam, Thiruvananthapuram. The victim was identified as Navayikkulam native Safeer’s son Althaf. Meanwhile, Safeer’s body has been found from a pond. The search for Safeer’s second son is ongoing. Police began investigation into the case.
The incident happened on Saturday at 11 am. Police inspected the house on suspicion that Safeer and his youngest son jumped into the pond. That is when the officers came across the body of the eldest son. The suspicion arose after Safeer’s autorickshaw was found near a temple pond.
There was no one else in the house when the boy was found dead. Fire and Rescue Service Personnel reached the spot and are searching for the youngest boy.
The children lived with Safeer in Nainankode near Navayikkulam. The children’s mother is separated from the family. Police infer that the issue was triggered by family problems.
