Kozhikode: A boat capsized during a race here in Chaliyar. The boat carrying 25 men capsized after crossing the finishing point of the boat race that was being conducted here.
However, the accident did not affect the boat race. A huge danger was averted as all the protocols were strictly followed. The Fire and Rescue officers were stationed on small boats and sprung to action when the accident took place.
A total of 10 boats participated in the race. Three rounds of race and a loser's final were held. No one suffered serious injuries in the accident.
