Blocking women at Sabarimala was barbarous: Kadakampally
Thiruvananthapuram: The action of blocking women on their way to Lord Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala was barbarous, opined minister Kadakampally Surendran. It was goondaism that took place at Sabarimala.
He also said that police maintained self-restraint and didn’t give opportunity for the protesters to initiate violence.
“It is barbarous and against law to block women who attempted to visit Sabarimala temple after observing the ritualistic vrata. It shouldn’t be done. It is kind of a goondaism.”
Police kept self-restraint and acted so as to preserve the divinity of Sannidhanam. Women have already entered the temple and many have entered without the protesters knowing about it, he added.
