Blackmailer not a politician: Oommen Chandy
Thiruvananthapuram: Former chief minister Oommen Chandy said Friday that the person who blackmailed him is not a politician.
Speaking in a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, Chandy said that it was not R Balakrishna Pillai who blackmailed him.
"I completely reject the allegation that Balakrishna Pillai blackmailed me," Chandy said.
In a news conference at KPCC headquarters on Thursday, Oommen Chandy had said that he was blackmailed by a close associate.
"Some media have reported today that it was R Balakrishna Pillai who blackmailed me. There is no truth in such reports. It was not Balakrishna Pillai who blackmailed me. I will disclose the name of that person later," Chandy said.
“In the “Padayorukkam” march led by Ramesh Chennithala, the UDF and Congress will be able to speak about the vengeful politics practised by the State government. The UDF will strengthen when “ Padayorukkam” reaches Thiruvananthapuram. “Padayorukkam” is a march of the people not of UDF alone. The allegations raised in solar case are on the basis of a letter. Even the commission has not examined the credibility of the letter. The Congress and UDF will stand united and face the issue legally,”Chandy said.
