BJP sure of 6 seats including Manjeshwaram, Nemom; expects to win up to 15 seats
Thiruvananthapuram: The BJP hopes to win atleast 15 seats in the Assembly polls. The party has envisaged victory in 6 constituencies in the state and a triangular contest is expected in 4 constituencies.
Among the seats where victory is ensured, Nemom tops the list. BJP state secretary K Surendran who contested in Manjeshwaram seat is also assured of victory, according to BJP circle. Kasaragod is one seat where the party expects a surprise victory. The party also sees the lotus blooming in Malampuzha in Palakkad district and in Palakkad seat.
The BJP was placed in second spot in 7 constituencies during the 2016 Assembly polls. The party expects doubling of votes in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kozhikode, Kasaragod and Kannur. The BJP leadership feels that NDA candidates will pose a major challenge to the major fronts in 30 constituencies.
Thiruvananthapuram and Kazhakkoottam seats are also assured of victory. BJP expects a tight triangular fight in Thiruvananthapuram. A big victory is predicted in Thrissur where actor Suresh Gopi is contesting. Another seat where the party looks to win is Chathanur in Kollam district.
This time, BJP expects a stellar performance in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode and Kasaragod.
