BJP national leaders too involved in bribery scam: Kodiyeri
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said Friday that a detailed investigation should be conducted into the medical college bribery scam involving BJP leaders in the state.
He also alleged that the party’s national leaders too are involved in the corruption. “What has been revealed in just the tip of an ice berg. If they come to power, they will carry out all kinds of corruption. This has been proved earlier too,” he added.
Highlighting the alleged corruption charges related to petrol pumps and PSUs during the previous BJP rule at the Centre, Kodiyeri said probe into the medical college bribery charges should end with the internal inquiry of the party.
He further said that the BJP has become a ‘corrupt’ party. The party’s inquiry report says the Rs 5.60 crore received as bribery in this case had been sent to Delhi as hawala money. A central agency should probe the scam, though it will be prudent if a judicial inquiry is held in the initial phase.
