New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh BJP MP Dr Radha Mohan Das Agarwal raised questions on Attappadi infant deaths and Kerala VC appointment issue in Rajya Sabha here on Tuesday.

Agrawal who is the party’s in-charge of Kerala requested the union education minister to direct UGC to revoke all illegal VC appointments in Kerala. He cited the recent Supreme Court order which quashed the appointment of the VC of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The VC appointments in varsities including Kannur University were done by flouting the mandates, he said.

On Monday, He urged the Union government to send a high-level medical team to determine the exact cause of the high infant mortality rate in Attapadi. He also detailed the fund disbursed and facilities ensured by the union government in the tribal hamlet.

While addressing the Lower House, Agarwal criticised the Kerala government over the issues raised by the Kerala unit of his party. His questions have put the issues to grab wider national attention.
