Thiruvananthapuram: Cantonment police have arrested Nikhil Manohar, a member of Poruvazhy grama panchayat in Kollam and BJP leader, on charges of spreading false propaganda regarding Kerala plus two exam results.

Following the announcement of exam results, Nikhil Manohar took to social media to disseminate misleading information alleging errors in the results. He claimed that the government would revoke and publish another set of results, police said. The education department lodged a complaint with the police upon discovering the propaganda.

Following a medical examination, the arrested individual will be presented in court today.
