BJP forced closure of food, water provisions for devotees: Kadakampally
Thiruvananthapuram: Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran said that the BJP activists have been forcefully closing the units supplying food and water to the devotees visiting Sabarimala as part of the hartal. Usually when hartal is observed in Kerala during the Sabarimala season, Pathanamthitta district and the pilgrims are exempted from the hartal, but not this time, he added.
The parties used to act reasonably in the pilgrimage season. BJP is making its stance firm that no rituals are as important as their political agendas. Their recent acts prove that they have no commitment to Lord Ayyappa or the devotees, he added.
Thousands of devotees have been trapped at many places. The devotees who have fallen prey to the political game of BJP have started realising things.
Surendran said that Sasikala has been spreading communal hatred all over the state. She tried to do the same in Sabarimala by lighting the spark for conflicts which later turned violent.
We have experienced this in the last few days. No one would believe that she came over devotion to Sabarimala. She tried to camp at Sabarimala and turn the sacred place to a battlefield.
