BJP considers Sandeep Warrier in Thrithala, Sobha Surendran in Chathannoor, Suresh Gopi in Nemom


Sobha Surendran is considered for Chathannoor seat. Though Sobha has refused to contest the election, she is likely to choose Kazhakkoottam seat, if contesting. In Kottarakkara, actor Vinu Mohan’s name is included in the list.

Thiruvananthapuram: As Congress is planning to field some influential candidate in Nemom constituency for the assembly election, BJP is likely to make changes in their candidate list in the last minute. Nemom is BJP’s sitting seat.

Earlier, Kumman Rajasekharan was considered in Nemom. Now actor and MP Suresh Gopi also has been included in the list of probable candidates. Apart from Nemom, Suresh Gopi is also considered for Thiruvananthapuram, Vattiyoorkkavu and Thrissur seats.

BJP national leadership has directed the state unit to field strong candidates in the constituencies where they can expect victory. According to reports, the state leadership has made some changes in the list on the basis of the meeting attended by BJP national president JP Nadda and union home minister Amit Shah.

BJP spokesperson Sandeep Warrier has been included in the list of candidates in Thrithala where a tight competition is expected. Former DGP Jacob Thomas is considered in Irinjalakkuda where CPM state secretary A Vijayaraghavan’s wife R Bindu is contesting.

Sobha Surendran is considered for Chathannoor seat. Though Sobha refused to contest the election, she is likely to choose Kazhakkoottam seat, if she changes her decision. In Kottarakkara, actor Vinu Mohan’s name is included in the list.

BJP state president K Surendran is considered for Konni and Manjeshwaram seats. Former state president C K Padmanabhan is likely to be fielded in Dharmadom against chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
