Kochi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that BJP and youth are on the same wavelength and the governments led by it are focused on that good partnership. “Objective is to foster youth-led government,” he highlighted.
Modi was addressing the Yuvam-2023 programme, an interaction with youngsters, organised by the BJP as part of his two-day Kerala visit.
During his speech, he criticised the Kerala government for not focusing on employment generation. According to Modi, the BJP-led union government has always focused on giving employment to youngsters. The regime is rolling out projects that could generate employment opportunities, he noted.
“The government (union government) is at the forefront in giving permanent government jobs and arranging job fairs for the same,” he claimed. Modi alleged that the Kerala government is not focused on such activities.
Referring to Padma awardee VP Appukutta Poduval, PM Modi said, "A few weeks ago, I met a 99-year youth from Kerala. He is a famous Gandhian, VP Appukutta Poduval, who was conferred the Padma award. We get to learn from every talent in Kerala."
He said modern infrastructure plays an important role in the development of a state. The work on Kochi Metro is going on at a fast pace with the help of the central government.
