Binoy's mother visited complainant in Mumbai for compromise
Mumbai: More revelations have come out in the rape and sexual assault case against Binoy Kodiyeri. The family of the Bihari woman who filed a rape case against Binoy with Oshiwara police, Mumbai said that Vinodhini Balakrishnan, mother of Binoy and wife of CPM Kerala state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan had approached the woman at Mumbai for compromise. Vinodhini was accompanied by Binoy during her visit to Mumbai.
Vinodhini went to Mumbai after the woman filed a complaint in December 2018. Since the woman refused to a compromise without paying her money, Vinodhini spoke to the other family members of her. Relatives of the woman said that Vinodhini and other family members also spoke to them seeking a compromise. Many a times, they were threatened by Binoy’s relatives, the woman's family told Mathrubhumi News.
The Dindoshi Sessions Court in Mumbai will pronounce the decision on anticipatory bail plea of Binoy on Monday. The court heard arguments on the plea on Friday. If the sessions court denies anticipatory bail, Binoy can move Mumbai High Court for the same.
Police are likely to issue a look out notice if Binoy doesn’t appear before the police for interrogation. Meanwhile, the Oshiwara police recorded the statement of the woman once again.
