Binoy Kodiyeri presents himself before Mumbai police
Mumbai: Binoy Kodiyeri presented himself before the police after securing anticipatory bail in connection with the rape and sexual assault complaint.
After being granted anticipatory bail, Binoy along with his advocate came to the Oshiwara police station. He completed the procedures for being granted the anticipatory bail and returned.
Binoy, son CPM Kerala state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan was granted anticipatory bail under strict conditions by the Dindoshi court here on Wednesday.
Binoy must provide blood samples for DNA test if police ask, he must not try to influence or threaten the witnesses, he must not leave the country without the court’s permission and must not destroy evidence – were the important conditions Binoy had agreed to while he was granted anticipatory bail.
The court has also asked Binoy to present himself before the investigating officer at Oshiwara police station every Monday.
The court granted anticipatory bail to Binoy citing delay in filing the complaint and contradictions in the police complaint and legal notice sent to Binoy.
