Bindu came to Kochi as per Trupti Desai’s request
Kochi: Bindu Ammini, who faced the ire of Sabarimala Karma Samiti activists here on Tuesday said she came to visit Sabarimala following a request from Bhumata Brigade leader Trupti Desai.
Bindu denied allegations of conspiracy over their effort to visit the Sabarimala temple. Bindu added that she will file a contempt of court case in the Supreme Court if the government does not provide security for them to visit the shrine.
“There is no conspiracy regarding our plan to visit Sabarimala. I had announced all support to those visiting Sabarimala earlier itself. Trupti Desai sought my help in this regard and I joined her team,” Bindu said while being taken to a safe location.
Meanwhile, police clarified that protection will not be provided to Trupti Desai and her team to visit Sabarimala.
“Protection cannot be provided to Trupti and team as Supreme Court has referred the matter to a larger bench,” Kochi City police commissioner said.
The Commissioner, however, offered protection to the team to return to Nedumbassery airport.
