Bindu Ammini to move SC with contempt of court case against govt
Kochi: After police denied protection for her visit to Sabarimala temple, Bindu Ammini said she will file a contempt of court petition.
Bindu said she will file a contempt of court case against the Kerala government and its chief secretary in the Supreme Court.
Bindu was attacked with chilli spray when she came to the city police commissioner’s office here. Following the attack, Bindu was taken to the Ernakulam Government General Hospital for treatment.
Speaking to media, Bindu’s advocate said her client had sustained cuts on the neck in the hands of police. Bindu also sustained burn injuries on her face in the chilli spray attack.
Bindu Ammini has been kept at the govt hospital as no police force was present on the spot to provide security, the written statement given by police to her advocate stated.
It must be noted that Trupti Desai and six others who came to visit the Sabarimala temple are at the police commissioner’s office.
Women’s Commission to take action
The Women’s Commission will take stringent action against those who attacked Bindu Ammini with chilli spray. Police had taken into custody the man who attacked Bindu with chilli spray.
