Bikers hit nonagenarian while trying to shoot video in Kilimanoor

G Sajan, the Enforcement officer at MVD have said that initiation for cancelling the license of the culprits will be taken soon. He also added that ‘operation rash’ to nullify dangerous over speed bike ridings will be implemented across the state.

Kilimanoor: A speeding bike hit an elderly person while trying to film a sequence at Kilimanoor. Charupara Thazhvaram house Bhaskarapillai (90) was walking on the side of the road when a few bikes came along overspeeding. He has been admitted to a private medical college in Venjaramood.

Pillai was returning to his residence from his daughter’s house on Sunday morning. One of the bikes passing through the police station-Tholikuzhi road hit him and he sustained serious injuries on his legs, backbone and head.

Bhaskara Pillai's son Muraleedharan, inspector at the Motor Vehicles Department, lodged a complaint with the MVD and Kilimanoor Police. Bike racing has been reported in the area of late. G Sajan, Enforcement officer of MVD said that the license of the bikers will be cancelled. He also added that ‘Operation Rash’ to put an end to dangerous overspeeding bike rides will be implemented across the state.
