Bid to create communal polarisation unfortunate: Antony
Kochi: Senior Congress leader and former defence minister A K Antony on Monday expressed concern over the disappearance of Keralites under suspicious circumstances.
“The Central and state agencies should carry out investigation and bring out the truth before the public. Of the missing persons, a few might have joined the IS. However, I don’t think all those reported missing have joined the terrorist outfit. It is improper to keep everyone under the shadow of doubt. Everybody should put up a united fight against evils like the IS,” he said in response to queries from media persons.
Antony’s remark comes close on heels of the opinion made by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the Assembly. The CM had said that the attempts being made to make use of situation in the name of alleged IS links would be thwarted.
