Thiruvananthapuram: MP A M Ariff demanded that Opposition Leader V D Satheesan should withdraw his baseless allegations levelled against him during the discussion on fuel price hike in the Assembly the other day.

The MP also made it clear in a Facebook post that he had taken part in the bicycle rally which was jointly conducted by Opposition MPs on August 5 in protest over fuel price hike. He also posted his picture while taking part in the rally.

V D Satheesan alleged in the Assembly that Ariff had not participated in the cycle rally. This was baseless and his statement should be removed from the Assembly minutes. A letter in this regard has been forwarded to Assembly Speaker M B Rajesh, the MP informed.
