Chennai: Bharat Gaurav Train will start service from Chennai to Chingavanam railway station in Kottayam to provide commutation facility for Sabarimala pilgrims during the pilgrimage season. The Project Officer of South Star Rail S Ravishankar, who runs private trains to pilgrimage centres, announced this matter.
The service will be conducted on August 18, September 17, October 20, November 17, December 1 and 15. The train will be arranged by the railways.
The loco pilot and the guard will be employees of Indian Railways. The fare of Bharat Gaurav Train will be 20 per cent higher than Tatkal tickets.
