Thiruvananthapuram: The outlets of the Kerala State Beverages Corporation (BEVCO) will remain shut on Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to the monthly holiday on October 1, the outlets will remain closed on October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti) as well. After the two-day holiday, Bevco's liquor shops will resume operations on October 3.
On account of stock-check and clearances, the beverage outlets across the state were closed at 7 pm on Friday.
Usually, Bevco outlets function from 10 am to 9 pm in the state.
Meanwhile, liquor shops and bars of Consumerfed will remain open till 9 pm on Friday but will be closed on October 1 and 2.
