Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Beverages Corporation (Bevco) has directed outlets and warehouses to sell off expensive beers. According to the latest instructions issued by officials, 63,945 cases of beer of four special brands that costs Rs 140-160 should be sold within one month.

Bevco expects to make a sizeable profit through the contract. The contract states that if the decided numbers are sold, then Bevco can earn up to 20 per cent of the price.

The Bevco outlets have been instructed to sell the expensive brands while the low-quality brands are in stock. The employees have come out with protest against this strange order.
