Thiruvananthapuram: Beverages Corporation's official app for online purchase of liquor 'Bev Q' was uploaded on Google after fixing the six errors. The app was uploaded on Google around 3.30 am on Saturday. The app will be available on Google play store with Google’s approval after a load test and security test.
Google has pointed out six errors in the app that was developed for online liquor sale in Kerala. The app was uploaded again after fixing these errors. According to reports, Google will re-examine this app to decide on its approval. Normally, an app gets approval from Google within 24 hours.
Once Google approves the app, load test and security test will be completed. Tests related to hacking will be carried out. Proper functioning of the app including hanging issues when multiple users access the app will be examined. Google also raised concern about the privacy issues like chances of personal data breach while using Bev Q.
IT department is in charge of uploading the app on Google and communicating with the officials.
Meanwhile, the developers of the app rejected rumours that Google dismissed the app. The developers hope at least 20 lakh people will use the app on the first day of its launch.
Excise minister TK Ramakrishnan also informed that the app will be ready soon. The state government will decide on the launch of the app after acquiring the approval from Google.
