Thrissur: Thrissur district will witness more new faces entering the electoral fray this time. It is learnt that besides Anil Akkara from Wadakancherry and Padmaja Venugopal from Thrissur, the rest of the candidates are new faces who will be testing the political waters. There are reports that 3 among them are women candidates.
The Congress leadership will put forward a list giving importance to all sections. The CMP may offer the Kunnamkulam seat but Kaipamangalam seat is still undecided. If Congress gets that then Shoba Subin will be considered.
The other women candidates who figure in the probable list are namely Dr Niji Justin (Puthukkad) and Subi Babu (Manalur). In the reserved seat of Chelakara, C C Sreekumar and Sunil Lallur in Nattika are under consideration. The names of Jose Vallur (Ollur), K Jayasankar (Kunnamkulam) and T J Saneesh Kumar (Chalakudy) are also included in the final list. C S Sreenivasan from Kodungallur is also one of the priority candidates. The district leadership is of the opinion that the candidate list with many new faces is seen after a very long time.
