Bengaluru: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is expanding its investigation into the Bengaluru drugs bust case to the Malayalam film industry.

The NCB is now probing the film industry links of Bineesh Kodiyeri and Anoop Mohammed, who have been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). On Saturday, NCB zonal director Amit Gawate came to the ED office and collected details. Gawate is in charge of the investigation into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

It is observed that the NCB seeking information while an ED investigation is underway is crucial. Usually, the NCB carries out investigations according to the ED report.

Two other investigating officers had accompanied NCB zonal director Amit Gawate during his visit to the ED office. There are reports that the NCB will take Bineesh Kodiyeri in custody tomorrow.
