Behera a disgrace to police, should resign: K Muraleedharan
Thiruvananthapuram: Congress MP K. Muraleedharan criticised DGP Loknath Behera alleging that he has degraded himself to the standard of a branch secretary of CPM. "What KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran said was right. Behera should resign as DGP," Muraleedharan demanded.
Attacking and isolating KPCC president will not be allowed and that it is party policy. Both Congress and UDF are of the opinion that the DGP who takes up any mean activity for CPM is a disgrace to the entire police force, Muraleedharan added.
The home department had granted permission to Loknath Behera the other day to take action against Mullappally Ramachandran on a defamation case. The government allowed the DGP to register defamation case in connection with Mullappally’s remark against him regarding the police postal vote controversy.
