Nedumbassery: In a heartwarming moment, Becks Krishnan, a Malayali youth who was released from an Abu Dhabi prison, met his saviour Lulu Group Chairman MA Yusuff Ali here at CIAL convention centre on Monday.

“You gave me a second life,” said an emotional Krishnan on seeing Yusuff Ali, whose relentless efforts facilitated the release of the youth.

Krishnan’s life took a drastic turn 10 years back as the UAE apex court ordered his execution by a firing squad after a Sudanese child was killed in a car accident in September 2012.

The car was driven by Krishnan, who had then worked as a driver in a private company.

Following this, Krishnan’s family approached Yusuff Ali, who intervened in the matter and paid Rs 1 crore as blood money to the victim’s family.

Krishnan’s wife Veena, son Adwaith and daughter Eeshwarya also extended gratitude to the businessman.
