Woman accused of robbery; attacked on road by beauty salon owner | See video 


Thiruvananthapuram: A woman was brutally attacked in Sasthamangalam over theft. A Maruthamkuzhi native was beaten up by a beauty salon owner Neena alleging the woman had stolen a bangle from her parlour. Museum police have registered a case against Neena in connection with the incident.

The incident happened in front of the parlour on Thursday. The woman who was beaten up was accompanied by her daughter. The visuals of the attack turned out to be evidence in the case. The salon owner was also found snatching the dupatta of the lady.

The woman claimed that the owner of the salon accused her of robbery and attacked mercilously. Meanwhile, Neena said that the skirmish broke out when the lady came to her beauty parlour and asked for mobile phone to make a call. ‘When I denied to give phone, she started to shower abuses on me’, said Neena. She also raised suspicion that the woman might have stolen a bangle from her parlour.

Police said that further procedures will be taken after recording the statement of the woman who was attacked.
