Be present at state capital 5 days a week: CM to Ministers
Thiruvananthapuram: The Chief Minister on Monday gave strict instruction to the Ministers to be present at the state capital during five days in a week. His directive comes after Friday’s Cabinet meeting had to be cancelled due to lack of quorum.
The Chief Minister pointed out that this was one of the important decisions made as soon as the LDF government came to power. Though the decision was followed without fail in the first year of the government, the practice ceased in the second year.
The Ministers failed to be present for the Cabinet meeting on Friday due to other engagements including party conferences.
The Cabinet on Monday decided to renew 10 Ordinances. It is learned that the Ordinances included rule amendment relating to the term of Travancore Devaswom Board President and members and amendment to Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland Act facilitating reclamation of wetlands for public requirements.
