Alappuzha: In a heartwarming and extraordinary act of friendship, the 1987-88 SSLC batch of Cherthala South Government Higher Secondary School here came together to arrange the wedding of their dear friend Priya. From finding a suitable bridegroom to shouldering the expenses of all the wedding-related functions. The classmates pooled time, effort and money to get their friend Priya married. Priya tied the knot with her beloved Anil the other day.
Interestingly, the reunion that happened after three and a half decades turned crucial. The reunion event happened months ago and it was then many got to know about each other's whereabouts after a long gap.
Both of Priya’s parents passed away and she was unmarried. Friends after knowing her opinion decided to get her married.
The batchmate collective is named ‘Suvarnamudra’ and it has around 110 active members in it
