Ban on Thechikottukavu Ramachandran an effort to destroy customs: PC George


The MLA was inaugurating a protest organized by RSS against refraining Thechikottukavu Ramachandran from taking part in Thrissur Pooram.

Thrissur: Poonjar MLA PC George said that the ban on Thechikottukavu Ramachandran was an effort to destroy customs.

Stating that there was a clear agenda behind the ban on Thechikottukavu Ramachandran, George urged devotees to act against efforts to destroy human culture.

The MLA was inaugurating a protest organized by RSS here against refraining Thechikottukavu Ramachandran from taking part in Thrissur Pooram.

The protesters demanded to lift the ban on Thechikottukavu Ramachandran. PC George demanded that issues related to Thrissur Pooram should be presented in the assembly.

In an apparent reference to the Sabarimala issue, the Poonjar MLA warned that the government will pay for insulting the eternally celibate in the Lok Sabha polls.

“The BJP has secured victory at Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta. An upset victory can be expected in Thrissur also. Once poll results are announced, the CM will have to tender his resignation,” PC George claimed.
