Thiruvananthapuram: A special court here rejected a bail application filed by a teacher after considering arguments of the prosecution backed by a Class 7 girl’s statement that the person touched her with bad intentions.

The person accused is Jomon, the Class 7 girl’s music teacher at school. According to the girl’s statement to police, the teacher had touched her body parts in several instances. She realised them as 'bad touch' and the accused reportedly used to affirm that he loved her and another girl at school, the complaint read.

The prosecution batted that crime done by a person like a teacher cannot be handled on a lighter note. The person is also booked in another complaint filed by a girl student, it pointed out. Considering all these, the court rejected the person’s bail plea claiming his innocence.
