Vadakara: The mother of the student who was induced to drug use and forced to become a carrier at Azhiyur here has come out against the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. She said the commission was supporting the investigation team that failed to nab the real culprits.

The commission chairman and members, who arrived at Azhiyur for examination and evidence collection informed that some clarifications are yet to be made in the case, and opined that the ongoing investigation is satisfactory. However, the student’s mother rebuked the findings of the commission.

She expressed her sharp disapproval of the commission for supporting the investigation team which has not taken the statements of the girl’s parents yet. She said that the family has approached the High Court and attempts to nab the real culprits will continue.

Meanwhile, commission chairman KV Manoj Kumar said he had collected the statements of the girl which were collected by the police, Child Welfare Committee and school authorities. He said that the girl’s statement would be recorded again after receiving the forensic report.
