Ayyappa didn’t appoint tantri; More women will enter Sabarimala, says MM Mani
Kottarakkara: Minister MM Mani said that many women have entered the Sabarimala temple and many more women will enter in future. He was speaking at the inauguration of Abdul Majeed memorial function at Kottarakkara.
"CPM is strong enough to take 50000 women to Sabarimala. No one can block them. But, it is not the task of CPM. Devaswom board has said that they have a machine to measure the age of women. The board consists of officials who had been appointed after gaining votes of Hindu MLAs including me."
Lord Ayyappa hasn’t appointed the tantri directly. It is a false propoganda that Ayyappa's celibacy will be lost if women enter the temple. Tantri has a wife and children and he leads a family life. What harm has it caused to Ayyappa? They say that the government does not have the right to dismiss the tantri. Supreme Court verdict is applicable to the tantri too. He will be punished if he violates law. The protests by Sangh Parivar are fake, Mani alleged.
KP Sasikala who said that she will commit suicide if women enter the temple is not seen anywhere. Attempts are being made to bring back upper caste supremacy. Ramesh Chennithala and Sukumaran Nair are working towards that, the minister further said.
