Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala on Monday slammed the opinion polls conducted by media ahead of the Assembly elections. In a letter to chief election officer Teeka Ram Meena, Chennithala alleged that these opinion polls are an attempt to sabotage the otherwise fair and independent election process.
The biased surveys conducted by various media come at a crucial point in the election. It is being conducted with an aim to misinform the public and adversely influence them, Chennithala said in the letter.
Seeking the immediate intervention of the CEO in the matter, Chennithala alleged that the survey results will create confusion in the minds of the voters.
