Kochi: In the wake of allegations that actor Vijay Babu who was booked in sexual assault case was also involved in alluring and misusing aspiring women artistes, the police have initiated a probe on his financial dealings.
There are allegations that Babu had persuaded some well-off expats to fund film productions and used it as plank to allure young and aspiring women artistes.
Babu’s financial dealings under the production company Friday Film House will be probed by the officials.
Similarly, police will quiz his aid. It is learnt that Babu’s aid tried to blackmail the complainant woman and another woman who was also ready to lodge a complaint.
Meanwhile, the probing officer informed that a ‘blue corner’ notice has been issued against Babu. A ‘blue corner’ notice is a notice issued by Interpol to find/identify/receive information about a person who is on the run.
It is learnt that Babu, who fled the country, has been staying in Dubai. The issue of blue corner notice was aimed to bring the actor back to India.
