Palakkad: The trial in the Attappadi Madhu murder case has been extended again to January 25. The case was extended by the Special Court for SC/ST Atrocities Act Cases in Mannarkkad that reviewed the case. This is the third time the trial is being postponed.
Madhu’s family has come forward against the delay in starting the trial even after four years. Madhu’s mother Malli told Mathrubhumi News that her son should be served justice. Malli said that they are not in a position to go behind the case. She also added that they have no one else for support and that there are only three women in her family.
On 22 February 2018, 30-year-old Madhu was lynched to death by an angered mob that alleged him of stealing. The matter came to light after the visuals of the attack were circulated by the media.
